At this price point, there are many other hotels that offer better service levels and room quality.
There also seemed to be very limited staff on-site and those that were working were only able to provide a minimal service level.įinally, our room cost over $700/night on average for our trip. The on-site restaurant, Glorietta, was fantastic but again, the staff was unable to help us with dinner reservations. There was also no assistance provided by the hotel staff w/r/t activities such as excursions or tours. The room itself seemed updated but not very well-maintained. Furthermore, basic amenities such as daily cleaning and linen refreshes were not provided unless requested. Thus, it was very disappointing to be woken up by noise from the upstairs and next door rooms. We requested a quiet room in advance of our trip and were promised one. That said, our experience with the quality of the rooms and amenities left a lot of room for improvement. It was accessible to all restaurants and major thoroughfares. We stayed at The Anvil in late July and loved its location relative to the downtown Jackson area.
